Memories of The Lockdown Years book 4 and The Youtube Interviews

Memories of The Lockdown Years Book Four and the YouTube interviews

Those of you who follow me will know I have been contributing to this very interesting book series since book 1. The concept is based on the contributions of people from multiple backgrounds and countries sharing their experiences of life from the 2020 lockdown, each year to the present day. This is essentially recording this period of huge transitions in history so future generations can read our individual personal accounts and understand exactly what went on from many different perspectives.

However, what I also realized on reading back my own contributions and those of others, so much has happened at an accelerated rate that it is easy to forget so many of our experiences. for example I had forgotten that in both 2020 and 2021 here in Spain, we were under a curfew and had to be home by 10pm!

Rosanne Gallagher created this project and decided to interview the contributors so the readers could get to know us on a more personal level.

In this first part of the interview, Rosanne is asking me to share about my early years growing up in Surrey, UK and later as a teen in Spain in the 80´s. I share my experiences and how I began writing and teaching English and some of my early inspiration from books such as ´The Killing Fields´´ and amazing journalists such as John Pilger. I also share the experience of interviewing an inventor, engineer who trained under the Nazi Werner Von Braun...

In the following interviews I discuss the books I have written, my experiences as an activist, my brain injury (brain bleed), our off grid projects and much more!
